I just wanted to add also that I was not ignoring anyone's post to the E.U. discussion. I am very sorry if it seemed as though I was not listening.
No, the E.U. could very well not be the revised Roman Empire. However, there are many scriptures that point to it. The things that they are doing also point to them being the One World Leader at some point. I do not believe that that point will be too far into the future due to the fact that countries are joining and petitioning to join the E.U. by leaps and bounds. I also have been to the E.U. website and studied there site and policies, history and more.
They are attempting to quickly bring a one currency and one (world) marketplace to Europe as a whole and have stated in their documentaiton, found on their site, that they would like for the entire world in the near future to be part of the E. U. and use the one currency and be a part of the "world marketplace". I believe that even they themselves are also showing themselves to be the revised Roman Empire. They want to break up the world into ten kingdoms so to speak once everyone has joined the E.U. and then run the governments in that fashion.
I have read many startling things and have also seen their new symbol. The symbol is this: a woman on a horse surrounded by 12 starts and the moon under her feet.
find this symbol in Revalation and read.
I believe that the E.U or coming E.U. is and will be the one world government that Revalation and Daniel discuss.
If you believe in the rapture, then the rapture will take place prior to the peace treaty signing with Israel and the middle east. The man, by Revalation, who ushers in this peace and signs with Israel, this treaty, will be the antichrist and according to scripture, the antichrist is revealed after the rapture.

It is my wish that we all are strong in faith and love the world and seek to do his will. It is also my prayer for us to be able to share different thinking on the different subjects of the Bible and be able to help each other.
I am not saying that the E.U. is undisputedly the revised Roman Empire, but I do believe that to be true.
I value the relationships that we have here in this tribe and welcome everyone's opinion. In order to have an opinion and it be a good one does not mean that you have to have anyone else agree with you on the subject.

Thu, January 13, 2005 - 3:27 PMWell, let me say this. I DO have the feeling that we are running out of time. This is just a personal feeling and can be based on nothing else. Absolutely events in the news can foster even more of these feelings...
BUT what does scripture tell us? We are not to worry about these things, let alone fixate upon them. We are to prepare our own house. We are to share the light of Christ. THAT'S what we are to be concerned with. And if it proves to be true, as I've said before....there's nothing we can do about it. All it becomes is a distraction to the work at hand and seems to me to be building a case for a big "I told ya so."....which considering the circumstances would not exactly be the most loving thing we could be doing....
The EU? Who knows...maybe. Maybe not. Though not on the flag, the other building symbols are well....disturbing. Yes, that is crazy weird.
We never want to overstate the case and say these things are for sure as I've seen most of the websites do. Because if we are wrong on that (Late Great Planet Earth) then we will appear wrong on the foundations of our faith.
Pre-trib rapture is another debatable subject. I've read the studies. I've studied the scriptures. I will study them continually. The danger is stating pre-trib as definite rather than a subject for debate. We CANNOT know for sure. In my own studies it indicates that we will go through enormous trials before the rapture, then there will be all the horrible stuff to come. The reference to the final trumpet for me is key. The final trumpet happens after all the "seals" are broken.
But...I am open to all possibilities and will continue to study it all in depth.
My point....let's keep our focus on the work at hand and not future events. Today has troubles enough of its own....
